Saule is the Baltic sun goddess — the one who spins light, tends the cosmic household, and dances at the solstice to mark the turning of the year. This piece is built in her colors — terracotta and sky, amber and gold — with ruffled wood discs that gather in ascending size from shoulder to center, each section separated by a smooth aqua ceramic round, leading to a gold pendant with an abstract, organic design. The aqua rounds are the sky she moves through. The pendant is the sun wheel she carries. Substantial in presence, earthy in hand. Adjustable length. Finished in 18k gold-plated sterling silver findings throughout.

The Materials

Ruffled wood discs — red-toned, graduated in size, with crimped edges that read as organic and considered in equal measure. They ascend from the shoulders inward, building toward the center. Solar, tactile, and alive.

Aqua ceramic rounds — one between each section of wood. Cool and smooth against the warm terracotta, they mark the intervals in the strand and carry the sky through the piece.

Gold-painted wood beads — two substantial beads framing the pendant drop. Matte and earthy, they mark the threshold between strand and focal point.

The pendant — a large circular form in gold-toned metal with an openwork pattern of sweeping interlocking arcs. The sun wheel: ancient, cross-cultural, and in Saule's tradition, the symbol of the light that returns.
