Morrigan

She who discerns and protects.

In Irish mythology, Morrigan is the great queen of sovereignty and battle-sight — a shapeshifter who moves between crow, wolf, and woman, who stands at the threshold between life and death not as destroyer but as discerner. She does not fight. She decides who is worthy of protection and who is not. Clarissa Pinkola Estés affirms in Women Who Run With the Wolves this female archetype — present in almost all cultures — reads danger before it exists, protects what is worth saving, and refuses domestication.

The Materials
